Today i am going to tell about the only hill station in Gujarat - Saputara.
It was October, my friends birthday and it come on a weekend.So we plan a weekend trip around Mumbai.we finally choose Saputara,which is 230 km from Thane.
There are 6 people and a sweet member name smooch. we planned to celebrate the birth day at night then wake up in the early morning and start our journey to words Saputara.
After celebrate his birthday, we set the alarm and go to sleep. i set the alarm at 5 am and sleep.i wake up before 5 am and call everyone to ready for the trip. All are wake up and ready with in one hour.
We check our travel checklist and start our journey.
on the way we plan somewhere for tea and biscuit. After one hour we stop for a tea break. the tea was so good that some are taken twice.
After the tea break we bought some chips and start our journey.we planned our breakfast at Nasik which is 150 km from thane.Road was empty , so we ride comfortably , after vadape the view was beautiful .Both side hills and the road in between.
At 9:00 am we reached Nashik and find a good hotel for breakfast.we look both side of the road . some hotel are just open and prepared breakfast.finally we found a good hotel and stop our car .People were decided their breakfast from outside the hotel. we enter and asked for "poha","idle","wada".
we didn't get these item there.Basically that hotel was for Guju people. we see Dhokla , kochari and samosa and other guju items were there.
So we leave that hotel and search again both side of the road. after 15 min we saw a crowd having there breakfast in a "Thela ". we stop for checking what the thela offering so that a large number of people came for breakfast.
We went there and what we saw, its everything we want. He has poha, idle , misal paw,vada and tea.
all are take their breakfast what they want. After 20 min we went for our destination.
I forgot to introduce our 7th member Name - Smooch . The cutest member of the trip.
The distance between Nashik to Saputara was 80 km . After 15 km from Nashik the road was horrible.When you enter Gujurat state ( before 15 km from saputara ) again the road was in good condition.Around 50 km the road was in very bad condition , your car is in between 30-40 through out that road.
When you go to nashik to saputara,after 50 km you show a stunning view on left side.we stop the car and see the view.We were already late so we don't spend much time there.
After 2:30 hour from nashik we reached saputara.We booked hotel Anando, which situated in front of saputara lake and garden.

The hotel architecture was beautiful.In front of every room there was small garden with different type of flower.In front of the hotel there was a big garden and lake.

We went to our room take shower then came for lunch.Its a vegetarian restaurant.Most of the Hotel in saputara were vegetarian.Because you are in the state of Gujarat so veg is everywhere.if you want non-veg in Saputara, there are 3-4 dhaba where you found non veg.
After lunch we take rest in our room. At 4:45 i wake up and call everyone to ready. we went to Gandhi sikhar for sunset. it was situated 2 km from our hotel, but car is not allowed to the peek. you have to park the car then walk for few minutes to reach the peek.If you don't want to walk then there are bikes ( hero navi ) available in the bottom . They charge Rs. 150 for one ride. But we decided to walk.
As u see the pick , you know the rest. we take two small break to reach the peek .Some other people are also come with us. After 15-20 min we reached to the top.The view was just awesome sunset with accompanied with dang forest around us.

At the top you find some tea shop. other item are Maggie and corn.we spend some time there .We take tea, the tea was superb as it was made with lemon grass.The smell and test was different.
After sunset all the shop are closed.We back to perking area.Take our car and went for a city ride.We went to the lake side and sit there for sometime.The place is so peaceful.If you plan for a weekend relaxing then this is the best place to stay. After spending some time near lake then we went to hotel.
Then we went for dinner.we went to a dhaba where we got non-veg. There are very few non veg dhaba/hotel in saputara. So we take some chicken starter and chicken curry with roti.
After that we take pan from the next shop and back to hotel.We all sit outside my room late night.Planning for next day activity. Then went for sleeping.Wake up early morning and open my door screen.The morning look so beautiful.People were walking in the garden,so i also went for a morning walk with sudeshna and smooch.
The shopkeeper had a parrot who welcome everyone .we had our breakfast and went for rope way ride.We reached the top of the hill where the rope way start .The rope-way start 9am to 6 pm.we reached there 10 am so little bit crowd .Only 4 person are going at a time. This facility provides a bird's eye view from the entire city.Time taken to go from one hill to other hill is 15 min.The rope way stop middle of the both hill for some time, where you can see entire city surrounded by hill.
After 15 min we reached the other side. You can stay there for till 6 pm the closing time. Both side top of the hill you get horse and cycle for ride.Some shop are also there you can have tea , maggie, sweet corn and green mango. we take a ride on cycle.we eat some green mango. Spend sometime there then back to ropeway ride.
Paragliding joyride was also there.Those who have dream to fly over a hill, you can go there and full fill your dream.Timing was 8 am to 12 om and then 5 pm to 7 pm. it is totally depend on weather.cost per person 2000/-
After reaching that side we back to hotel, because 12 pm was our check out time.So we went to hotel and take a shower and ready for leaving.In the day time you can boating in the lack. Near the opposite side of lake there was a rose garden, you can go take a picture there. Actually there were some other flowers also.
A small tribal museum located on the highway to surat and nasik. Here you can see the lifestyle of the tribal locality of dang district.where you can find tribal furniture , house object, clothes,musical instrument and ornaments.If you are going with children then its a good choice to visit there for culture learning.
There is a waterfall known as Gira fall 50 km from saputara lake .If you have time you can go there .After rainy season the surrounding looking beautiful.Water come on full force and greenery everywhere.An excellent place for relaxing from your busy city life.
Honey bee center is situated near the lake.where pure honey is extracted from natural resources. Those who are interested in honey business they can come and learn the natural process. you can also buy honey from here.open time is 8 am to 8 pm.
These are the visiting place in Saputara.So once you come and enjoy your time.
